"We have stayed at the Sun Viking for the past 3 summers. My kids love it. We have always made it a long weekend getaway with me, my kids, my mom, and my sister. This year its going to be a our week vacation getaway and I can't wait. My husband will be joining us this year and it will be his first time staying here. We are making it a family event. My mom and dad, my sister and her husband and child, and me, my husband and 2 kids will be there this year. My kids love the pool and the slide. They also love the activities. I also like that there is a cafe there so you can eat right there at the pool when you get hungry. We look forward to seeing you in June."

"We love coming back every summer for a great week at the Sun Viking! Our daughter celebrated her 1st birthday at the 'baby pool' during our vacation! She will be flying to Daytona from Denver to spend a week with us at the Lodge! She is now 22! The staff is so friendly and some of the housekeepers have been there for as long as we have been coming! We would not consider going anywhere else! If you haven't been to Inlet Harbor you must try it - it is great! See you May 31st! Donnie & Sara Beasley"

"Sun Viking Lodge is synonomis with 'memories.' We have attended every year (except the 'Hurricane year' a few years back!) for the past 25 years! Our older son, Preston, learned to swim in the outdoor pool (before the 'new' building was ever built!) and our youngest son, Michael, was introduced to our extended family at a family reunion at the 'Lodge!' I just can't say enough about it - love that 60 foot water slide! Looking forward to our Easter vacation and another family reunion there in a couple of weeks!"

"My family spent seven days from 11/28-12/05 at the Sun Viking and enjoyed it. If you are looking for quiet time, this is the time of year to go. A portion of the visit some of the facilities were not available due to upkeep and maintainence being performed, but overall, we had a good time. The room was neat and clean and the view from our room was great. I would recommend this site for a visit."

"i loved my vacation this motel is the best in daytona.It was my and my daughters and my grandmothers first time in florida and we fell in love the ocean the town the people and the hotel sun viking lodge was the best we were all so happy!I was there in 2002 and im coming back in december for my grandmoher.she was sick when we went and she never seen the ocean and either did i and she got to see it with me together for the first time and thats a memeory ill never forget .she died shortly later after we got back and i wanted so much to go with her again but i knew that probably wasnt going to be possible.but she said that was one of the most wonderful moments in her life and the ocean was more beautiful then she ever imagined and to experience such a joy with her grandaughter was priceless.so i am going this dec back and i cant wait i have waited years to do this part of her is with me and she will see this wonderful place again."

"The SunViking Lodge is a wonderful family environment. We've been coming to the lodge for the past 5 years. Our kids love it. We always book the rooms with the complete kitchens because the kids never want to leave the hotel. So we stock the fridge up with snacks and popsicles and settle in for a great time. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Each year we've came, we've brought friends with us and they've all returned for their own vacations without us. I can watch my older kids on the beach from the pool, while watching my little one in the kiddie pool. Convenience is what it's all about! They even let you borrow a bar-b-que grill if you want! Thanks Sun

"We just returned from spending a week with you all. This was our 2nd stay at SunViking and we are already counting the days till we can return. Growing up our family vacation was 2 weeks in Daytona every year. We stayed at another facility every year (which was like home). A few years back that place was destroyed by the hurricane. When we began planning our family vacation 3 years ago, I told my husband and sons how much I enjoyed Daytona and they had never been to Florida. At that time I learned the other hotel was no longer around. I found a motel that would fit our needs and that is where we stayed. We weren't exactly satisfied so we decided to ride down the road to check some other places for the future. The first place we liked was SunViking, we pulled in and checked out the facilities. We liked the looks and the next year when it was time to make reservations, I called and the man taking my call was so pleasant. We arrived in July and was more than we ever could dream of. We had a blast!
This year there was no question, we returned and loved it. Can't wait to return. I never dreamed we would find such a family oriented place. Thank you so much for a great time. See ya in 2008!!!"

"We've been staying at Sun Viking for more than 23 years, long before we even moved to Florida from New Jersey. No high-rise then, just the two story portion of the hotel and the outdoor pool. We too stopped there for the first time for an overnight stay and stayed a week. Our children were young then, our youngest only a newborn.
Tomorrow we are there again for three days - our summer ritual. This time, no children, but three grandchildren ages 14, 10, & 5. Leaving the parents behind since our daughter is giving birth very, very soon to her fourth child. That newborn we wrote about - he can't come either, he's now 23 and a second year law student at Stetson Law. Did Sun Viking get us there? Probably not, but then again those vacations are a lifetime of memories."

"We stayed at the Sun Viking during Easter break(4/07/07-04/09/07) It was awsome. The slide , indoor pool and sauna were all great and clean.The rooms were very clean. For Easter the staff brought around small Easter baskets to all the rooms and they had a free cookout with hotdogs and other treats for us on Easter Sunday. Yes we would go again even if the prices went up. It was that good; we felt like we were at home and the staff treated us like we were home. Thank you all; to the staff keep up the job."
