Florida Heritage Day At The Lighthouse
Event Happens: Mar 27, 2010

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, 4931 South Peninsula Drive, Ponce Inlet. Bring the family and enjoy climbing the tower, visiting the museum buildings, exploring the Nature Trail, participating in an Archaeology Dig, and learning about Florida's many lighthouses. Visit our lighthouse keeper (in living history mode) as he describes his duties at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Then join him as he talks about the history of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse, and demonstrates the maintenance duties on the First Order Fresnel Lens. Admission is included with regular admission of $5 for adults (12 years and older), and $1.50 for children, no advance reservations required. Call (386) 761-1821 ext 18, for more information.
